A definite must have for any blues or SRV fan. It over shadows Texas Flood in his soloing and playing in general. There really isn't anything bad about the record, but it is a little on the mellow, dare I say slow side. The album could have been better with a couple of more upbeat songs.

One of his most personal cd's. Life By The Drop is a perfect close to his career. Its beautiful, you can feel all the emotion he put into it. It is a treasure.

Any SRV fan would want this CD but for some reason it spends less time in my player than, say, Couldn't Stand the Weather.
