One of the best websites beside wholenote.com being 1st,tons and tons of guitar info. Has a free metronome. Shows how to hold a guitar pick for beginners,no worst aspect about it. Excellent website for all styles of guitarists.

There are Better resources out there for learning to play guitar, even at wholenote.com. However, as the other reviewer mentioned, the Jam machine is good. The licks section is pretty cool as well. MUSIC THEORY covered by this site is POOR and only the tip of the iceberg really. You will need to go elsewhere for good theory. The site is entertaining, although navigation is cumbersome at times due to the excess graphical extras. I would make a stop here on your way to becoming a guitar great, but not the one stop place to really cut your teeth. For the true ins-and-outs of music, I would look elsewhere. For Beginners, this is an excellent place to start, but I believe you will soon find yourself looking elsewhere for greater depth. Therefore, I give this site a 2 because really this COULD HAVE BEEN a great site, but the webmaster really FELL SHORT OF THE MARK!!

This site is mostly aimed towards beginners, in my opinion. There are lots of jam tracks and clips of tunes that are great to practice improvising over, which is the main reason I go there.

This site has alot of cool little features, but you can get it all at other sites. The Jam machine is the cool part, and works pretty well. The site looks ok. but that Jimi pic in the background is kinda distracting. Another WN wannabe
