This book is a must-have for any guitarist regardless of style. Get the basics of substitutions, alterations, and extensions. Plus, you'll get the nifty "Jass Players Handbook" at the end that summarizes the entire book in 11 "rules." This book was a real eye-opener for me especially when I got to the end of the book and Sal states "All these rules apply to the scales and arpeggios for improvising as well as chord playing."
Suitable for intermediate guitarists
