These strings are awsome. The only drawback is the price but they last way longer than other strings so in the long run they're probably cheaper. Easy on the fingers too.

Two words- polyweb coating... or is that three words?
I didn't like them when I first put them on my acoustic but now that they're broken in I love them and they sound great.
I've only had these babies on for a few weeks but they sound great. They don't sound like they first did thankfully because they sounded a little too... tinny sorta at first. Still just as bright and loud. The only thing I noticed was a little bit of fuzzing on the lower strings where I strum but that's normal from what I've heard and doesn't affect the sound at all.
Love them. I will keep them on my Alvarez. I have a set of electrics that I may try on my Ibanez GRX40.

Great strings! Bought the extra lights (.10s) for my Alvarez acoustic/electric. Only one beef and it's a very minor one, I lost a little bottom end sound. It's ok when I'm playing unplugged. Very clean bright sound. Side benifit - low strings don't bite, I can slide all day.
Strings are much brighter than the factory set and the Martins I put on a Fender DG7.
If you've got a friend who keeps singing the praises of Elixir strings, BELIEVE HIM/HER! These strings are awesome and well worth the price.

I think these are the only strings that actually have distinguishing features! :) Of course, I'm talking about the PolyWeb coating, the one that keeps them new for a long time.
The coating on the lower 3 strings really helps reduce squeaking, something that I had to readjust for once I decided to experiment with other strings.

Hey I practice 2 hours a day, every day, and these strings have held up for 4 months and STILL SOUND NEW!
These strings are amazing! They are gauged at .13, but they bend like .9's. I don't know how they do it. They last forever too
