Description: |
Metallica's first trip to the studio. A superfast, unorganized thrash-fest that really defined Metallica's early period. |

Rating: This album is the epitomy of 80's thrash. Jame's furious rythym style rips through this album, and Cliff's eccentric style of bass really adds to the chaos. This rookie release shows exactly what the master's of puppets were like in their early years, fast, furious, and heavy. Musically, the album is a disaster with minute-and-a-half solos that go no-where (Hit the lights) and patchwork riff collections held together by duct tape (4 horsemen). Still, the fire is their, and this is still the definitive early Mettalica album. A good buy for Megadeath fans as well, cuz Mustaine did alot of work on this one while he was still in the band. |
