Raven RG 60

60W (1 x 12")
Maker:  Raven
Description:  A good amp with lots of channels and good features. Very powerful, and if you have a small modeling amp, goes great with it.

Rating:
Great amp, especially with a modeling amp and a DS-1 pedal. Maybe get a bigger, RG 100 amp if this one broke or something after a few years. No way that this amp could be better. Fav: hookup with smaller amps great. Worst: too loud for confined spaces!!!!!!!
Model Year: 2009
Price: $199.99 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
Rhythm and Lead channels, both have distinct qualities and have user qualities over them. Does have an effects loop, external speaker, and footswitch hookups. 60Watts, and able to blow out windows. Solid state.
Sound Quality:
I use a Boss DS-1 Distortion with it and it works nice. I play death metal through it and a hookup modeling Line 6 III 15W. It is still noisy (like all amps) near fluorescent lights. Great, thick sound. Very nice bass and treble at high and low volumes.
Ease of Use:
Not programmable, but can stay on your settings. Not hard to get sounds. Very simple. Very easy to use next to many other amps.
Durability:
I don't know about this amp yet, but it is very heavy and there desires the respect of a very durable amp. Seems like an extremely heavy duty construction.
