Overall Rating:
I've used DR's, other D'Addario's, Ernie Ball Slinky's, but these definitely work great for my genre and for the clean side of things. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who want to play heavily on the distortion but also want some emotional songs or areas as well.
Price: $5.99 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
The guages of these strings are .010.013.017/.030.042.052. QUOTE FROM PACKAGE:"ProSeels are D'Addario's brightest and most magnetic guitar strings. A specialized alloy delivers harmonically rich, brilliant high-end, and increased crunch and sustain. Each wrap is precisely wound onto a hex core using our exclusive computer-controlled machines, which monitor wrap speed and tension. The result is strings with precise intonation and unparalleled consistency, set after set."
Sound Quality:
I use a Les Paul with these strings going through a Line 6 amp, and I get the tone I need. I play metal to death metal and they work great, also on clean for jazz and acoustic sounding effects as well. The sound works great if you can get the EQ right where you need it, otherwise there will be too much treble or bass.
Durability:
They stay fairly new a while, and they don't go out of tune as bad as most strings do. I only change my strings hastily because I am trying to find the right string for my genre, and these work great so I don't think I will be changing them anytime soon.
