If you are looking for a neck pickup with great sustain without muddy tone on the low end, and want to do Santana or Slash type solos, this pickup is the ticket and at $69 new it can't be beat in my opinion. John Petrucci uses these in his guitars and I bet many others do also.

I put the Air Norton in the neck position of my Gibson Les Paul. It is a passive humbucker with coil tap capability.
This pickup will do rock/classic rock/blues superbly. It has a warm sustaing tone that does excellent low end clarity. No background noise, even when Dimed. I used a Duncan Pearly Gates for a few years and can say it is excellent in the neck position, but I wanted a pickup with more sustain, and BINGO the Air Norton is the ticket. I can do Slash type tone now.
As long as it does not get a beer or other liquid spilled in it, it should last a long time. I have used it already on nearly 100 gigs and it rocks on.
