This disc is a departure from Carl's earlier release called "No Borders" - either way this CD kicks! I would best describe it as Eric Johnson meets Robben Ford. Two great guitar players in one. Carl tears a hole in this from the opening cut of "Revival Downs" with Johnsonic vibe but funkasized. "Chinatown" takes you on groove written ride over blues changes. "Funkadidy" is exactly as it states - pocket drums and grooving bass makes this instrumental fusion piece shine! The CD closes with "Wasted Blues" - a heavy grooved shuffle that any modern blues fan would enjoy. The CD is not for the faint hearted. If you like blues, rock, and a mild fusion, this CD mix is for you!
