Overall Rating:
High rating overall. the trade off is you get a very tasty tone. warm and punchy. great for blues, rock, or warm jazz. but lose a little in durability and availability.
Price: $6.06 (new)
Where Obtained: juststrings.com
Features:
I can only find these strings in 9's and 10's lately. but the warmth, and punch make them worth tracking down. the ball ends are silk wrapped, they say this helps unwanted noise. pure nickel wrap on the swedish steel hex core. designated SEG-LP9, and SEG-LP10. these are different than the vintage reissue.
Sound Quality:
Excellent tone. hold their tuning well. the sound quality is why I use them. they would be much more suited to your PAF tone than the vintage reissue.
Durability:
They stay in tune well, but 'gumming-up' from hand grime takes some of the warmth out of the wrapped strings fairly quickly. for me anyway. cleaning right after playing helps keep em fresh sounding longer.
