This is a fibreglass hollow body.I think it was made in the states. Has two volume and two tone controls.All electrics are passive.The F hole hollow body is a howler.Feed back galore! I have gotten use to playing with the volume control to cut back on unwanted squeals. At full volume the pick ups are very responsive.I played alot of heavy blues and rock on this guitar.Has a raw brown sound.This is not a country twanger.I loved the harmonics.

Med-light strings. The action cannot be lowered to much.great slide player
