Overall Rating:
This guitar is my current favourite, so yes I would get another. I also have a Telecaster Delux (1976), 50th Anniversary Strat and a Rickenbacker 360/12.
Model Year: 2004
Price: $3600.00 AUD (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Paradise
Features:
US Made. Filtertron pickups, "tone switch" circuitry, ebony fingerboard with hump "thumbnail" inlays, Space Control bridge and Gretsch by Bigsby B3C Vibrato tailpiece. This is true beauty in a guitar.
Playability:
Brilliant to play. Took me a couple of sessions to get used to the moveable bridge. But This is now my favourite guitar to play. Fast neck. The bigsby and spacemaster bridge work a treat.
Sound Quality:
I play through Vamp2 into a Vox AC30TBX. The Filtertron pickups work brilliantly. I have only had one noise issue and that turned out to be the lighting desk, not my gear.
Durability:
No problems to date. The strap locks are a little slow and tricky to use. The Gretsch controls take a bit of getting used to.
