These guys have always done very well by me. I hesitate to support big conglomerates like this, and prefer to give my money to the hard working folks at the small mom-and-pop stores, but sometimes you just can't pass up the clearance deals MF has.

Musician's Friend is a great website with an extensive inventory and great prices on everything! They have free shipping on most of their products and they also have a great price matching program. Their customer service has always responded promptly to my inquiries about purchases. My favorite part of their website is their weekly newsletter that you can sign up for. Every week they have extensive reviews on new products, a product giveaway, wallpaper, and a summary of music history that occurred during the upcoming week.

I've shopped at M.F. for over six years and purchased two guitars, among other stuff. I like the store and I like the site. Always good service, and MOST of the time the price is lowest.

I've been ordering from Musician's Friend for years, and have never had a problem. Also, their web site is pretty good and easy enough to navigate. They have a huge inventory, and the prices are much cheaper than most local music stores.

I really like them for their quantity of things. But I've gotten things that I haven't ordered before and things that take so long to get, I cancel the order and get them from somebody else.

I have purchased a lot of stuff from this site and I have never had a problem with anything. If you don't have a music store near your house, or if you just don't feel like leaving your house, check these guys out. They ROCK!!!

Too bad there's not a box to check for "Uneven." When this site is good, it's very, very good, but it does have its rough spots. There is definitely tons of stuff here along with a powerful search engine for sifting through it, but information on individual items ranges from very thorough to pretty skimpy. It has worked well for me for some things (like when I was shopping for an electronic metronome) but not so well for others (like trying to sort through 50 zillion different brands/types of picks...fuhgeddaboutit, I'll buy my picks at a local music store where I can see what they look like, lol). The biggest point in favor of Musicians Friend, imo, is the way they process orders. They're fast and efficient, they send you an email as soon as they receive your order and another one to let you know when they ship it out, and in between you can track its status online. I've bought stuff from them twice so far, and I'll probably do it again.

OK site. Tons of stuff, great prices. You pretty much have to know exactly what you are looking for or have the catalog in front of you. That is a pain in the A$$.

This is one of the funnest sites I think. They even have a song or band name finder where you can find a title for a song or a name for your band. They have lot's of stuff to look at. They have incredible products and prices.

To those of you who saw my ealier comments about this site: I take it all back! They've really gotten their act together now, and their web site is incredible! It's fast, it's easy to navigate, and it has an incredible selection (at their already-low prices). Definitely worth your time if you want to buy gear online.

I emailed Musicians Friend asking them to try to match a price from a company that did not have the item in stock. They emailed me back saying sure they could do that. When I called to order the item they apologized and said they could not match the price. I thought it was pretty sad. I emailed them in disgust. Never heard anything back from them.

You know, personally I have generally had pretty good experiences with Musician's Friend. I'm not sure I'd buy a guitar from them (or from any other online retailer, frankly), but I've had great luck with accessories.

This is not a web page. It is a kind of a link to their own magazine catalog.

The digital counterpart to the famous catalog leaves much to be desired. On the outside, it looks great, and seems to be very user friendly, but once you enter the hardcore searching, things get cryptic. With a catalog in front of my eyes, I searched for an LTD MH-300 on the main search, and came up with nothing, MH-300 also showed nothing. Another downside to the site is you cannot see if an item is in backorder, unlike on the phone. The catalog is a great companion to the site, but unless you are scared of people, I would use the phone #.

Musicians Friend has what must be one of most poorly designed web sites going. Unless you know exactly what you want and have a lot of time on your hands don't bother with this site. You can't browse as if you were searching their print catalog, there are no pictures, and you can't shop by categories -- only by brand name. On top of all that I had to abandon my search for picks and other accessories due to excessive download times.
