I looked at a few Epiphones and B.C. Riches and this one was cheaper and not much different in the sound department for what I was looking for. If it was lost or stolen I'd buy a diff. one that's more expensive, like a Beast or Strat. But for a beginner this is perfect to learn on. Maybe the guitar could look cooler, but it looks alright. The best part about it is it price, $100 for a nice guitar isn't bad, but it could look a little cooler.

Bottom line: perfect for beginners!
Model Year: 2005
Price: $129.99 (new)
Where Obtained: Firstact.com
Features:
It was made in the good ol' US-of-A! It has a maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 21 frets. It has 1 volume and 1 tone control, pretty simple. It has one humbucking pickup, not sure the configuration... My guitar has a double cutaway body with solid finish. Basically it looks like a sleek strat.
Playability:
Personally I think it plays pretty well, not incredible, but good enough. I compared it to a friend's B.C. Rich Bronze Series Warlock and they seemed the same to me.
Sound Quality:
I play stlyes like rock, metal, punk, etc. and they all work ok on the guitar, my friend's Warlock sounds the same as my guitar, and mine was cheaper. But his looks cooler...
Durability:
Its got a few nicks and scratches, but I'm just clumsy. I even dropped it on a kitchen floor once, and it was fine... Stupid me...
