Since Carvin does all custom work, it is difficult to recommend this guitar to other players. After all, I got to choose all of the components. But dealing with Carvin through the ordering and building of this guitar, I can honestly say that the company was great to work with and they delivered a great product.

Low action, thin neck. Very comfortable and playable. Great guitar for shredding and lead work.
I usually play this through a Marshall Valvestate 50W but also have a small tube amp and digital Tascam DP-01 recorder. I can use this for all styles since the coil splitter makes it very versatile. I can get a deep SG-like sound in humbucker mode but also the twangy Tele or Strat type of sound using the single coil option through the coil splitter. This guitar can do alot and works well played loud while jamming or plugged directly into the recorder.
It is as sturdy as most strats. I haven't had to adjust anything so far, it can be a real workhorse guitar.
