Epiphone John Lee Hooker 1964 Sheraton
|
Recreations of the boogie-woogie boogie man's two favorite axes! John Lee liked the Sheraton so much that he bought both, the '64 Sheraton and Sheraton II. The difference between the two axes was the Frequensator tailpiece on the former, and the Stopbar on the latter. Both of these exceptional instruments are true to the mid 60s specs and carry the following features: five-layer bound pickguard with metal E, original block and triangle mother of pearl inlays, two gold-plated Gibson New York mini-humbuckers, gold hardware, and nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Each comes stamped with John Lee's original number but has a hand-numbered series label inside.
Features:
- 5-layer (Maple/Birch/Maple/Birch/Maple), 3-layer top (Spruce/Maple/Spruce)
- 1-piece Mahogany neck
- Rosewood fretboard, Block & Triangle inlay featuring real Mother of Pearl and Abalone
- Pickups: 2 Gold-Plated New York Mini-Humbuckers with original Alnico-V magnets
- Finish: Antique Natural, Vintage Sunburst
- Gold hardware
- Stamped with Hooker's original serial number, handnumbered inside.
- 24 3/4" scale
