Beastie Boys' Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz Posts Statement on Death of Adam "MCA" Yauch

Adam Horowitz — also known as Ad-Rock — posted a brief reaction to last Friday's death of bandmate Adam Yauch (MCA.)

"As you can imagine, s--- is just fkd up right now," he wrote, "but i wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support. i'm glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him. Thank you."

Yauch passed away last Friday, May 4, in New York City after battling cancer of the salivary gland since 2009.

Horowitz and Yauch founded the Beastie Boys in 1979 along with Mike "Mike D" Diamond.
