Pearl Jam to Tour U.S.

Forty-nine-date trek to begin in April
Posted Jan 23, 2003 at 12:00am
Pearl Jam will begin a forty-nine-date tour on April 1st in Denver. The first leg of the tour runs through May 3rd in State College, Pennsylvania, before the band takes the better part of May to rest. Things resume on May 28th in Missoula, Montana, and run through a pair of shows in New York City on July 8th and 9th.

The Seattle-based band will be promoting its seventh studio release, 2002's Riot Act. The tour is the group's first since a lengthy 2000 jaunt, which was documented by the band's unprecedented release of every show in a two-CD authorized bootleg format.

Before heading across the U.S., Pearl Jam will begin a ten-date Australian tour on February 8th, followed by five performances in Asia.

As is customary, Ten Club members will have the first crack at the best seats, with the ability to pre-order a pair of tickets per show. Additional ticket information will be made available at

Opening acts will be announced within the next week.
