At the Winter NAMM show, BOSS introduced the DD-20 Digital Delay, a powerful new Twin Pedal with up to 23 seconds of delay. The DD-20 provides 11 delay modes including tape delay, sound-on-sound recording and new "Smooth" and "Twist" modes for creating entirely new effects.
With up to 23 seconds of delay--the most of any pedal effect--the DD-20 can easily double as a sound-on-sound pedal. Delay time can be quickly set, thanks to a new push-button knob that allows course or fine adjustments; tap tempo is also supported without need for an external pedal.
The DD-20's 11 delay modes serve up everything from analog and tape delay to reverse delay and more. The new "Twist" mode creates a wild delay effect similar to "over the top" manipulation of an analog tape echo, while "Smooth" mode creates ultra-smooth delay effects. A convenient Memory function allows guitarists to change delay modes seamlessly.
Connections to the DD-20 include stereo 1/4-inch inputs, stereo 1/4-inch outputs, a Footswitch input and AC adaptor jack. The DD-20 also runs on battery power. Like all BOSS compact pedals, the DD-20 comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
