and Crazy Horse will join the Dave Matthews Band
as it kicks off its tour in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 21st. The performance will be DMB's first hometown show since 1994 and will benefit the band's Bama Works Foundation, which diverts proceeds to a variety of non-profit organizations.
Tickets for the performance go on sale March 3rd to the general public, though the band has struck a deal with Ticketmaster and the venue, Scott Stadium, to allow 30,000 tickets to be made available exclusively to those who live within six local counties as part of a March 2nd pre-sale. Pre-sale candidates can pick up wristbands for a ticket lottery at Scott Stadium at 4 p.m. on March 2nd. The remainder of the tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. the next day.
The DMB will visit twenty-seven cities on the tour behind Everyday
, with Macy Gray
opening most dates.
