On the morning of August 18, 1969, Jimi Hendrix stepped onto the stage at the Woodstock Festival for what was to become one of the defining moments in rock history. Besides the fact that Hendrix was premiering a brand-new band at Woodstock, his extraordinary performance included unforgettable renditions of such signature Hendrix songs as “Voodoo Child (Slight Return),” “Fire,” “Purple Haze” and “Foxey Lady” as well as his dramatic interpretation of “The Star Spangled Banner."

For that performance, Hendrix played a white Fender Stratocaster. To celebrate the theatrical screenings of a new film, Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock, in late November, you can win a version of this classic guitar — a Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster in Olympic White with Maple Neck.

The film features the original 16mm footage digitally restored, along with a brand-new 5.1 audio surround mix by engineer Eddie Kramer, who served as Hendrix's longtime engineer.
