Police arrest Axl Rose stalker
Posted May 18, 2000 at 12:00am
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department took a woman into custody Tuesday night after she allegedly tried to enter the Malibu, Calif., home of Guns n' Roses frontman Axl Rose. Karen McNeil, thirty-nine, was arrested around 8 p.m. in the 5000 block of Latigo Canyon Road, booked on "stalking" charges and held on $150,000 bail. Deputies had been dispatched to Rose's hilltop home after he phoned them himself.

The woman is certainly no stranger to Rose. According to police, she has stalked the singer for the past four years. She was already the subject of a restraining order, forbidding her from coming near Rose. The last time McNeil came to Rose's home, she reportedly followed a gardener through the gate and found Rose playing his guitar in the kitchen.

McNeil is scheduled to appear at the Malibu Municipal courthouse at 8:30 a.m. this morning.
