No Disgrace

No Disgrace is an uptempo rocker about how love conquers all (even being a musician) from my upcoming "DIY" CD release, "Unfinished Business".

Listen:  NoDisgrace.mp3 (3.7MB)
Style:  Rock/Pop
Gear:  Tele-style electric guitar
Martin D25K
Mesa/Boogie Formula Pro Preamp
Alembic Epic
Roland R-70 Human Rhythm Composer
Roland VS-1880 DAW
Audio Technica ATM33A condenser mic
AKG C414B-ULS mic
Alesis 3630 compressor
Joe Meek MQ3 compressor

This song was recorded and mixed on a Roland VS-1880 DAW. I performed all the parts. Drum parts were programmed with a Roland R-70 Human Rhythm Composer. The electric guitar parts are all done using a "mutant" telecaster-style guitar through a Mesa/Boogie Formula Pro pre-amp. There are one rhythm guitar track and two lead tracks. The acoustic rhythm guitar part is a Martin D25K. The Bass is an Alembic Epic through an Alembic F-1X pre-amp. To mic the Martin, I used an Audio Technica ATM33A condenser mic (up close) and an AKG C414B-ULS (farther back). For vocals, I used the AKG. I have a variety of rack effects, but mostly just use a compressor/limiter (either an Alesis 3630 or a Joe Meek MQ3). Reverbs are all onboard 24-bit Roland effects. Keyboard parts are done using a Roland EP-9 and an E-Mu Proteus.
