Neat book to help with improv

Last night my teacher introduced me to a book to help me with improvisivg with recorded music. Now this is not to be meant as an endorsement, although after 2 hours of working with this book, I am sold. The book is named Blues Jam Trax for Guitar by Ralph Agresta. It comes with a CD that has 10 songs with rhythm, bass and drums, and the book includes tips on scales and techniques for each track. It is written in both standard notation and tablature. There are several books in the series, and the beginner book is excellent for the new guitarist that needs to have some help playing with others and getting some experience and confidence.
