In case anyone at WholeNote has been following my "Weekly Improv" and is wondering where it went, mp3.com stopped allowing me to upload a new track each week so I have moved it to a similar site:
http://www.ampcast.com/sologuitar
I still have some music at mp3.com but have become disenchanted with thier big corporate style of late, they are no longer the champions of the indie world they once were, anyway, "to the stage"!!

That was pretty nice.

So what's up with mp3.com? I don't keep up on this type of stuff.

mp3.com recently started a "premium artist" service where an artist could choose to pay $19.99 US per month to have thier mp3.com page ad-free, and have thier name BIGGER on the charts. Then they removed the "play" button from all non-premium artists songs on the charts, and just to-day announced that only premium artists will be involved in the "payback for playback" program. In case you are not aware, all artists at mp3.com used to get a small amount of money depending on how much traffic thier site got each day.
I think this newest development will change mp3.com forever,

Jim

Sounds like there will be a lot of artists shopping for a new home for their mp3 files. Seems kind of shady to build yourself up on the backs of others only to change the rules in the middle of the game. They must have taken a cue from Amazon.
