'Scuse me while I kiss this guy
I'm sure many of you know about the sites regarding misheard lyrics.
The other day I ran across a site, where someone misheard a line in the Stones', "Jumpin' Jack Flash".
The original line, "I was raised by a toothless-bearded hag"
It was misinterpreted as, "I was raised by two lesbians".
Well, just to let you know, I had the misfortune of hearing other words/phrases in songs.
Is it okay to blame the worn-out acetate with the chipped stylus needle? I figured you'd say no.
Anyway, the song is "Indiana wants me", a hit from the 70's by R. Dean Taylor.
The original line is, "Indiana wants me, Lord I can't go back there".
Well, for so many years (and I'm not joking), I thought he sang, "Indiana wants me, blow the candles out then".
Well, as you can see, I made a complete fool of myself. I'm sure many misheard Manfred Mann's version of "Blinded by the light".
Come now, admit your guilt ...
Anthony

Just the other day I was listening to "Bad Moon Rising," and I remembered when I was a kid, I thought it was "Bad Moon on the Right."

I always thought he was singing, "Eat it. Eat it." ... no wait, that was Weird Al Yankovic.

Years ago, some columnist heard the line in Billie Jean as "the chair is not my son" - now I can't hear it any other way . . . what is it really???
