using 5 way switch for splitting

Can you set up a guitar with H S H config and use a standard 5 way switch to split the humbucker to single when you combine the bridge and middle pickup?

Depends on the Humbuckers you have. In one of my Les Pauls, I have a set of SD (model type unknown) that If I pull up on the knob it turnes which ever one is pulled to a single coil. From memory it has 4 wires not 2. Its 2am here, but I will check the type of pups later in the AM.

There is also a switch next to the pull up knob that if selected when the knob is up puts the Humbucker (full Humbucker) out of phase.

This was wired for me by a tech and was not basd on SD installation instructions.

Hope this helps a bit.

I did a bit of research - I don't think I can set up the humbucker with the 2 singles and do the splitting that I was considering. Might be easier to add a toggle or push-pull type pot to have a splitter switch.

If that the best and easiest way then go that way brother Ken.
