Best Concept Album of all time

I have a three way tie for first place....

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Rush - 2112

What are your favorite concept albums?

Don't know about "best" as I like many of those mentioned a lot ... but two obscure concept albums with stellar musicians and songs are:

White Mansions

and

The Legend of Jesse James

Musicians on one or the other include Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Levon Helm, Eric Clapton, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, Albert Lee, Jesse Ed Davis, Bernie Leadon ...

For me it would have to be Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon album. I really identify with it for some reason. Probably because its about the madness Syd Barrett in parts.

I don't view Dark Side of the Moon as a concept album so much as a great collection of songs. For me, Animals would be my choice. It takes humanity, and points out our 3 most common animal-like traits: Dogs, Pigs, and Sheep.

I love Animals but Dark Side came to mind first.

From what I recall I believe that this album maybe based on a book called Farm Animals by George Orwell.

I agree with Dark Side as it is what first came to my mind. Shine on You Crazy Diamond was the Syd Barrett album from what I understand.
