I think an important point is that all these things happen on one's own time, and if a member is taking time to share knowledge in a lesson, then that can only be a good thing, whatever the medium or raison d'etre may be. If the main focal point is a linked image or a Youtube vid, that works.
Now ... that being said, there are now a few more benefits to using sequences in lessons. Specifically:
• MP3 files of your lesson examples
• Image files of your lesson examples
• Embed code which you can cut and paste to show them in a site message, in your blog, or wherever HTML is accepted
So, basically, we now give you the tools to create tab images and MP3s of your work, publish them, and host them, just by pointing and clicking on the Composer/Groove Builder.
For some, that might be worth spending the extra time with the site's built-in composition tools, and for others, not so much.
Either way, getting the knowledge out is the most important thing.
