Candidness is always appreciated ...

I really need to get around to logging in from home. I have logged in from from work to look at the new site, but they make us use IE6. That may be part of the problem. All I see is a great big empty space (and maybe a few red X's to one side - those are probably from the company blocking access though).

The important stuff is all way down at the bottom. If I want to do anything or see anything, every time I switch to a new page, I have to scroll down to the very bottom to see it. To read or respond to a post, it's click, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll...That is kind of annoying. Also, the back button doesn't take you back to where you were before.

Oh, and the preview button puts what I wrote below the current page, so I see nothing at all when I click it. I accidentally found it when I scrolled down, but it is translucent and half off the page on the left side of the screen so I only see half of what I wrote.

It might be better on IE8 or 9 or Google chrome, though. Whenever I get around to checking it out at home, I will let you know if it is better (or worse) :).

In an update, the problem was definitely the browser. Things work much better in a newer one.

Was weird getting used to.....But, after the first couple days with the new platform, it started to grow on me...

Same here. What is really nice is that it shows change and progress. The change too wasn't a complete shock as the other forums have which is that vBulletin format. There is one thing that would be nice to have for our posts though and the would be the ability to edit our our posts. Mainly because we do - well I make errors when writing and sometimes accidently hit the post button.

Outside of that, it has be really cool!

Actually a great idea, and Christopher said that if we had any suggestions, to put them in writing, and post them on Fretbuzz in the "WHOLENOTE" section, I believe...

Most of the forums I belong to all have the EDIT button (Porsche Forum, Astronomy Forum, etc etc)

At least the logo is the same. That logo to me is so characteristic of wholenote.

I liked the old look, but getting the new content makes the new look worth it!
