Remember Charlie

I was trawling my computer, and came across this text saved from a post by Charles Gacsi

Remember your presence is a present to the world.

Remember that you are a unique and unrepeatble creation.

Remember that your life can be what you want it to be.

Remember to take the days just one at a time.

Remember to count your blessings, not your troubles.

Remember that you'll make it through, whatever comes along.

Remember that most of the answers are within you.

Remember Remember those dreams waiting to be realized

Remember that decisions are too important to leave to chance.

Remember always to reach for the best that is within you.

Remember that nothing wastes more energy than worry.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

Remember that the longer you carry a grudge, the heavier it gets.

Remember not to take things too seriously.

Remember to laugh.

Remember that a little love goes a long way.

Remember that a lot of love goes a long way.

Remember that happiness is more often found in giving than getting.

Remember that life's treasures are people, not things.

May God bless your day with peace, joy and love.

I did not create this message. I just copied it and posted it on this site.

Take care.

Charlie

I still miss him.

Charlie passed about 5-6 years ago Bob. His son posted to WN about his passing.

I remember after I posted my first lesson Charlie sent me a pretty harsh but accurate critique.

I was offended at first, and then realized how he was trying to encourage me not to settle for mediocrity and put a little more effort to take something to a better level.

We also had a pretty fun exchange about the groove builder here and how accurate the chord names I chose were, heh.

I agree Rick, I miss him too. He was always there willing to help everyone on WN. I still have a couple of my PM messages with him from 2001. I read them every so often. I too should go an archive them as well.

Charlie was awesome, and we must remember Uncle Rex Jones also. 2 great individual human beings.

I came to the site at a time when Charlie was tapering off. I think I only got to interact with him a couple times. It's a shame, since I've heard so many good things about him.

+1, Randy.

They were both fine individuals.
I got to work with Rex and he was a gas! We worked in a "stuff-shirt" populated medical university hospital and he would show up for work in rock and roll checkered shoes, what a breath of fresh air.

Charlie was a real old school music teacher and performing musician with a warm heart and wonderful advice in all aspects of life and music. I am still working my way through his lessons.

I remember he frequently ended his messages with, "Don't forget to pet your cat".
I wish I could have met him.
