Hey Chris,

I wish you all the best of luck with this and hope it works out for you and the company. One thing bro, if you don't mind my feedback?

I think it's a bit unfair for them to ask for an email to hear the samples "and find out more". That's kinda like applying for a job without knowing WHAT that job is, know what I mean?

I just think it may be in their best interest to post up the samples without requiring anyone to put in an email to them to be added to a data base to where the user has to opt out.

Don't you see that as a bit unfair? It's like, I'd love to hear it and if I like it, I have no problems finding out more. But to be asked to do that before I've heard a thing...just seems a bit of a scam by the company to obtain an email list.

Like when I compared it to the job thing...I'd never give my personal information to an employer and waste the time filling out an application if I didn't know anything about the job, see my point? Share the info only to find out the job is poopie removal or something. LOL!

I'm sure this amp rocks or you wouldn't be talking about it, but I've never saw the need for companies to be so hush hush. Anyone can cop a schematic or technology these days in their own image...they are either proud of their amp and want to brag to the world...or they keep the lid on and act like it's something more than it is, know what I mean?

Anyway, I hope you don't take anything here negatively...it's just how I feel about stuff like this. At some point, I hope they release the samples as well as the info without the need of an email address. I'm always looking and listening for new killer sounds. Good luck bro!

Hey Danny,

Oh, no problem...I actually agree with you.... 100%! I don't like it either. I am trying to get them to do that very thing. It "SHOULD" be done in a few more days. I'll email my friend again, and put in a couple calls, and ask him to do it.

Formal Apology: Sorry 'bout that guys! (REALLY!) :) Was kinda' out of my hands, as I don't do the website updating.

I'll get on it, and make some phone calls in the AM.

STS Amplification: Website Update

Hi guys & gals,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the site is currently under construction, and all kinds of links (to sound clips) will be on the home page, where they should be.

Be patient, give us a few days, and the site should start to look a bit better....like a real website.

Sorry for any inconvenience, guys!

Glad to hear about the new changes Chris. I'm also glad my post didn't upset or offend you. No apology needed brother as none of this was your fault. I wish you the best with this and hope you guys sell billions of amps. I'll definitely be looking into this once things are up and running. Thanks for telling us about it. :)

LOL Thanks Danny, I always appreciate your input, and everyone else's (for that matter). Means a lot to me.

OK Danny, and all you other music peep's, we have our first amp/sound clip on the website, so you guys & gals can go right to the homepage and give a listen. This is one of the many 1-Min Sound Clips we are working on for the website. This is one of the guitar-rock "Website Promo" tunes that I played. Please lemme know what you think.

And YES.....MORE soundclips will be posted in the coming weeks. We're still under construction, but, my friend just put this clip up last night, after I spoke to him.

Any input, any comments, any questions, PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

No problem brother. Sample sounds pretty good. Lead guitar was a bit low so I really couldn't judge if I liked the lead tone or not, but the rhythm is convincing enough.

Will this thing support midi and patch changes? If so, will they be glitch free? That's one thing I hate about some of the pre's I have and that is, the almighty glitch between patch changes. I still can't believe my Tri Axis does this. $1700 for a killer pre-amp that cuts out when you change sounds....go figure. Useless for me live, so I only use it in the studio on the rare occassion. My Digitech 2101 smokes it anyway. LOL!

Hi Danny,

Forgot to answer your question.....(Sorry!) :)

It will not support MIDI. For us to keep the cost down, it was a bit too much for us to do, this early in the game.

Not to say it won't happen later....

We wanted to stay focused on building the 4 products we're starting with, and see how things go. If things go well for us, then, yeah, you might start to see some other products from us.

Yes it is! We have re-issued the amp, to it's original specs, nothing changed EXCEPT we have added a new "CRUNCH" channel. So, this will be a 3 channel amp.

Hey Michael,

I guess the best answer I can give is this:

This unit is to be treated like a processor. Not sure of the actual output rating. It won't drive speakers. You can run it THROUGH an amp. For example, I can run it through my Laney 50w tube head.

Ahhhhh! Now I get it. Just a preamp. Cool. Will the company be producing tube power amps to go with it? The market really needs one that's affordable. There's not much under $1500.

LOL, yeah....I had a mental block there for a minute....YES, a PREAMP! DUH!

As far as a tube power amp? I'll have to ask, I'm not 100% sure, yet!

Currently, we're trying to focus on the 4-5 products at hand. If we (as a company) do well, then, yeah, you might see us expand into other areas.

BUT, it doesn't hurt to ask. I'll try to find out for ya'. Who knows?

Marshall took theirs off the market (but it was really expensive anyway). The only one out there at a decent price is the Carvin TS100 for $550, and (I've heard) that it's a bit too linear for a good guitar amp. The need is really out there for a good power amp for all of us Line 6 heads.

Just look at it this way. If it's just a preamp, every single person that buys this is going to have to amplify it with something. It should really be something with your name on it. Right? Otherwise, you're just leaving money on the table.
