Angel - Tower

How many of music fans remember the band "Angel"? The song "The Tower" came into my head 5 minutes ago and had to hear it again. I have heard these guys since the late '70's. They have resurfaced again - wow.....

Weren't they supposed to be the antithesis of Kiss? They wore all white and chiffon type stuff with glitter?

You could probably say that since they too were signed to Casablanca records. Quite a contrast regarding appearance and musicality as well.

That was my first introduction to them. That was awesome music in its day and they have reintroduced them on CD. My favorite songs were "Can you feel it" and "White Lightning".

A product of the late 70's when you shopped at records stores and tried to see what was new. I visit and just scroll through the record bins to find new music and take a chance on it. One of the bands I did this with was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with the first album. They weren't getting any radio play in Hawaii when I came across the record. Tracked it from beginning to end and was floored at how great this band was. I couldn't wait to get their sophmore release "You're Gonna Get It". That was the way I found music back then just like Angel. Hunting, pecking and looking as disco was king.

We did not have too many places to buy records in my little hometown in the late 70s. There was Kmart, Roses, and a local store that was open for a bit in the early 80s.

Haha...

The first concert I ever went to as a kid was Styx, and Angel opened
for them! I remember I had a record with them on the cover in all
white chiffon and the picture/logo looked the same upside down or
rightside up and I just thought that was the coolest thing.
ha...thanks for jogging the old memory!
