Alfred,

The first chord on page 19 from bottom to top is:

5-4 = Db

4-4 = Gb

3-2 = A (Bbb)

2-4 = Eb

Ebm7b5 = Eb Gb Bbb(A) Db

which are the same notes as above. Putting the Db (b7) on the bottom makes it an Ebm7b5/Db.

Raising that grip up a half-step (from bottom to top) yields:

5-5 = D

4-5 = G

3-3 = Bb

2-5 = E

which makes it an Em7b5/D.

In works of this magnitude, typographical errors are almost inevitable, and I appreciate you taking the time to check out this lesson.

But I honestly have no idea where you're getting D F A C E out of that shape.

Ebm7b5/Db
Em7b5/D

If I have missed something here, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.

Hasn't your Em7b5/D got an F in it? It's a Dm9 shape - D,F,C,E.

Ah, sorry, I've read it wrong. My fault. God knows how you play it though :)
