Bobby Fuller did this old classic in the key of G. I know the verse is G,C and D. Can anyone tell me what chords he played down the neck in the instrumental part. Thanks Bill

Bill give this website a try

The arrangement there throws in an A chord and still in the key of G.

Sorry I dont remember how to do a link.

Warren, Thanks for the heads-up on the web sites but I have not been able to find what I need on any site I have visited so far. They do not show the chords that go down the neck in the instrumental portion of the song. I have watched the video but I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

Bill, they will be the same chords as played in the open position (near the nut), but with different shapes up the neck.

Go to your favorite book or web site that has chords and find where the A, G, D etc are in different positions and if in the video they are playing around the 7th fret then that should give you a clue. They will be the same chords though.

Or are you referring to the solo notes?

Warren, Thanks again but I think, for me at least, it's a little more involved than that. The easiest way for you to see the instrumental part I'm looking for is to go to YouTube, type in song title and pull up a guy who goes by the name of MyTwangyGuitar. He does a great version of the song with a close-up of his guitar. It would take me a lifetime to figure out that progression.
