Lotta Road Miles This Weekend

Tonight's gig is a 3 1/2 hour drive one way to a town on the Minnesota border named Scarville. Saturday night is a almost a 2 hour drive to Delta, almost to Missouri. Quite a 2 day swing for a buncha old dudes. But well worth it just to rock out 2 new clubs.

I had one of those last week - 1.5 hours and fortunately that is with decent traffic. If we had bad traffic, my drive would have been 3 hours plus just to go 20-30 miles. Ah life in LA...

Yeah, we had a rolling road party last weekend. Got together with some old friends. One of them was booked for 3 gigs in 2 different towns on the same day. I was elected to drive. Didn't quite make it. Getting too old for that sort of thing.

Yeah mine felt like three towns as it was 160+ mile round trip. Only one gig though which is a bummer. Went from the end of one county to the almost the end of another, 3 main freeway's and passed through numerous cities to do a 60 minute gig. Shall I ask....is it worth it???? Well sometimes. |
