If you have, please share your thoughts. I am going to try some of them soon an am curious how the affect the signal. This would include models - AC, RC, BB and/or EP. http://www.xotic.us/

Because of the Journey that I am working with, I started to read and try to get inside of Neal Schon's playing and that is where I came across these pedals. At the shop I saw someone checking them out. I will need to go and witness it for myself though. They sounded great and didn't ad a lot of color but like anything, I was not the one playing. As for the Fulldrive, I don't have the interest although I have heard many good things about them. I guess outside of trying to remain vintage, I don't veer away much.

Also at that time, working on medical electronic as a living was getting to me, so the musical outlet was my way of getting away.

I had contact with a guy once who could mass produce them in China if I gave him the design that I was working on. I thought about it and said naw, probably because of too many unscruplous people in the world. Needless to say many boutique companies have popped up since then - some good, some bad - its all personal preference.

This is a review of the Power Screamer but there are many others that might better get you to the Journey tones you are looking for.

It is more just me and wanting to find that extra special sound I hear that hasn't yet found. Steve Lukather has some of that sound but not completely. For a great rhythm sound I love what Brent Mason and company did on Martina McBride's album called "Shine". From the opening chords through the entire song (Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong) the tones are just sick. At one time I had my own blend of electronics and thought about introducing some 10-15 years ago and pretty much bailed. Alot of it was based on the Assymetrical distortion which is where a lot of the pedals have gone. What I really discovered was that, I'd rather play me geetar.
