Sounds like an interesting axe. But more money than I could ever spend on one! You could buy a fleet of really nice guitars for that money.

Guitars as a whole, area good investment and hold their value well. A purchase such as this is that, an investment.
Like any commodity you should make sure that it "likely" is to increase in value.
Um, did i mentin it is not a good idea to ever, and NEVER play it.
Psersonally, I think a person would take a bath with this model.
Now, with say a Fender Strat that was used on Clapton, that will increase or at least hold it's value. An important aspect of this kind of collecting is who might have owned or used it.
Buying this Parker is for a guy who has more money than sense.
You just need to pick up a Les Paul or a nice carvin to figure that out.
My .03 cents. |

Yo Randy, as you mention, prices are based on Supply & Demand. You can have a real hunk-O' Crap, but, if it's a RARE Hunk-O-Crap, it can be worth a ton of $$$!
As in my own instance:
I own a 1929 Epiphone "Recording C" Acoustic guitar. Worth a decent amount of $$, but, you can't play it. It's in lousy condition. But, I had Mandolin Brothers (Staten Island, NY) appraise it, a while back. They told me not to restore it. It's worth more in the condition it's in.
It's basically a museum piece, and nothing more. But, to me, it's worth more than that...
You see, my Grandfather bought it brand new. He actually bought it so his brother could play.
His brother then used it in the Big Band (Jazz Band) he used to play in. He used it for quite some time & it shows.... Before my Uncle passed away, he gave it back to my Grandfather, and then my Grandfather gave it to me right before "he" passed away. So, it has a lot of family history there. Which is worth more to me than the money.
