Not a screaming metal duo, but this is our uptempo blugrass-ey take on "Mary Jane's Last Dance" . . . we add our own original song as a "prequel" to tell the first part of the story.

Live sound comes through powered Mackie speakers, and they sound great outside! Condenser mic on the vid cam picks it up quite nicely.

And while you're here, I'll include the music video of one of our originals that was made by a friend of the band for her senior mass com project. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out far better than I could have imagined.

So yes, this is what I've been doing for the last few years. Enjoy!

Ma "senior discounts" Geezer

The Mackie's sound good outdoors for sure. I like the original take on Mary Jane's Last Dance as well. Very unique.

The second vid is just superb! It felt sort of Van Morrison-ish. Nearly impossible for me to stop tapping my foot to the groove.

Watched the first one...second one's playin' now.

Cool stuff, Tracy! Ya'll been playin' together for a few years now, haven't ya? Nice tight sound, I dug it. Left a short comment on the tube....

I just recently gave the youtube thing a try (see homepage). The sound doesn't come out anywhere's close to as good as what yours did...what kind of vid camera are you using that allows a mic to be hooked up to it? I gotta have one.

Later,
Edd

Edd, it's just the built-in mic on the camcorder. Those little condenser mics are something else these days, ain't they? :)

Yo Ma, Cool vids! I really enjoyed the 2 beat feel on the Petty's MJ's Last Dance. I love the voicings that the guitarist used on the clean sound as it truly fit the 2 beat feel. The second feel made feel like I was at a laid back jazz club in the 50's and I wasn't even born yet at that time. Great sound, great feel - keep it up!

Way cool. I am totally digging the monitor stands in the live vid. LOL!

And what you can't see is what we use to tilt back the monitors: Rolls of duct tape! :)

Hay Tracy, you guys and gals have a really nice sound and easy playing style. I thought both songs were excellent.

I am surprised that the live one was recorded with a condenser mic. WOW.
