Notes from the dating world...

WOW... dating has changed... A LOT since the last time I was on the market. Why didn't you guys warn me.

Unfortunately... or fortunately (I'm not sure which yet) he is not a musician.

He's a little different than most guys that are out there. I feel like I'm interviewing for a position more than anything else.

His approach is very methodical, yet interesting and fun. It's like he's evaluating our compatibility because he's interested in me as a person.

It's not about going out and having fund and doing things... we do that, but there's always the subcontext of getting to know who I am as a person.

Questions?

Help?

Suggestions?

Cinda,

I got divorced back in the spring, and yes, I have noticed lots of things are different now than when I was single before.

There are text messages for one thing! I am not a fan of them!!!!!

Just be yourself. If someone wants to be with you for who you are, then I think thats part of what works for the long haul.

Ask questions if you like. It may not be a bad thing if this guy is not a musician. I am sure there are lots of couples that make it work where one is a professional musician and the other is not.

Be yourself!!!

Sorry I can't help ya about the current dating scene as I have been with my wife for 22 years. My only suggestion would be to try that speed dating. From what I have seen on the reality shows (became a junkie to that crap while I noodle or assemble 1/87 models) you have a 12+ in a specific time frame. If you are compatible with the person, you exchange information. Sort of that interview type of thing.

As far as I know, ask your girlfriends if there are any free fellas you can hook up with.

Good Luck!

Cinda,

You might consider yourself lucky, if this guy is NOT a musician. LOL

Musicians can be a bit on the strange side.... :)
