Same name, but not the artist or the celebrity

We always at one time or another encounter and individual who shares the same name a famous person or artist. Well yesterday I encountered two new ones for me.

1) Jeff Beck
2) John Mayall

Imagine going through life with a common name as a celebrity all your life. The funniest one was on the Johnny Carson show when a gentlemen name Donald Duck was a guest. He was born before the Disney charactor was created, but think about how this fella went through his life placing reservations for a hotel, plane and fine dining? Whow.....

The sad thing is that parents keep giving their kids names that haunt them all their lives even when they should know better. There are probably kids today still being named Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse and who wouldn't know not to name their kid something like Dick Hertz?

Alright Chris, I have the ultimate one for you!!!

I used to work at a local hospital in Torrance, CA and the guy who washed dishes for the cafeteria department - nice guy too.

His given name is Michael Hunt.

Needless to say, I know of someone else with that name as well - Enough said.

Actually, and I swear this is real, my mother married a man named John Knauf, last name pronouned ka-noff. He went by Jack. I swear to God, he went by the name Jack Knauf. Pronounced jack-n-off. He was the scrappy type that loved to fight, and I think he went by that just to get a rise (no pun intended) out of people.

I point this out, not to be vulgar, but as a kid this guy hated that I played guitar. My (half)sister said he recently heard a few songs from my band's demo CD and had regrets about that. Karma is a bitch.

You got that right bro. Karma is a bitch!!! If he spent the time playing the guitar instead of scapping, he might used that energy to be a great player.

I worked with a guy named Michael Jackson, as far as I know, not related to the famous ones.

There is a guy named James Taylor at my current job!

I had a band years ago, and the vocalists' name was "Randy Jackson". hehe

Not to be confused with the famous frontman Randy Jackson from the awesome band ZEBRA, or the Randy Jackson on TV, who was also the bassist for Journey.

And let's not forget MJ's brother as well. It's funny that I met him eons ago when I worked in a music store. Didn't even know who he was until he exited the store as my co-workers told me that I just helped Micheal's brother - Randy....
