Alrighty...

Finally got some video of my AC/DC tribute band up on YouTube and wanted to share with you guys. Some of the videos are better than others IMHO with my favorite being "It's A Long Way To The Top". We were lucky enough to have 3 bagpipers on the payroll that night and they were fun. A big rock gig for a bagpiper is hard to come by...mostly they just do funerals and St. Patty's Day stuff. =)

Anyways...hope you guys enjoy

Nice work brother Kev! You new (well old) Marshall and the Gretsch really gets that classic Malcolm sound. Your singer has that Bon Scott sound just Maria has the Ann Wilson tone. The bagpipes are a hoot as it makes that song a classic reproduction.

Hey thanks Randy! When do we get to do a show or ten with your Journey trib? That would be fun! I'm sure we could hook you guys up in AZ if you can help us in SoCal.

We are still getting started and not that polished yet. Also dialing the near perfect singer is difficult as well. Will see how it all pans out as the musicians are great. The singer we have now would be perfect more for straight rock and/or the Brian Johnson era of AC/DC. He can hit the notes (Journey) some of the time but the tonality is more rock and roll than a chroner - only time will tell. I'll keep you posted.

You guys are too kind.

I feel guilty doing this tribute sometimes because my left hand moves maybe 6" all night long doing the Malcolm stuff. It has given me a new perspective on guitar playing though.

1. No Whammy bar...
2. Heavy strings 12's....
3. No Whammy bar...

Hey Kevin,

NONSENSE! I always give credit where it's due, and you guys really sound awesome! Excellent job! :)

And, you had me laughing about the "no wammy bar" thing! LOL

Even though all my guitars have a Floyd Rose on them, I really don't use them all that much, but, I "do" like the fact that I have the option if I need to use them. Even if it's just for jazzing up some chords or harmonics....

Thanks Chris. I truly appreciate the comments. As a lead player doing a rhythm gig it's nice to hear! It took me a while to get used to playing the Gretsch and not reach for the whammy bar that isn't there. I really enjoy it now. It's more like playing an acoustic guitar.

Gretsch's are funny....the tone on those bad boys are just freakin' awesome!!! I want a 6122 Country Gentleman - just smooth and the tone is just SICK man, just SICK!
