For the first time in I don't know how long (I really don't - I click on my messages and it says "No such member exists") Wholenote is not my home page. It just seems like nothing is happening here anymore. This was once my favorite place on the web. Times move on. Still it is kind of sad. The end of an era.

Yes, indeed. I still check things here on a semi regular basis, but if and when my points are next to old Uncle Rex's I'll retire my account.
It's hard to let things go I guess. Right now I'm growing cocao trees and making fine milk chocolate from their fruity beans. I suppose the fates will give me diabetes now for sure!
I give some guitar lessons on weekends. Some close friends are the organizers of the Chicago "peace fest" in Linclon Park but I didn't even bother playing this year. |

It worked this time: My first post was in 2002. I immediately set my home page at work and home to Wholenote. The work home page became the default one for our job years ago, but it has been the same at home all this time. I guess I will still check in from time to time.
Oh well, see y'all on Facebook!

I hate to point out the elephant in the room, but this subject comes up about every 3 months or so. Just after the last article about how this site is closing down or not what it used to be there is a pause and the subject is re-posted.
Enjoy the site for what it is. Ok its old and does not have the shiny new website look or smell, but it works and is a great site if your looking for info. If all you want to do is complain about how the site was so much better in 1985 then talk to your shrink if it means so much to you.
I always thought having a look through the archives was a bit of the thing to do before posting in the open forums.
I'm just sick of this subject always coming up. |
