Not sure about Nana, seeing as how I've never heard of her (it is a "her", ain't it?) but the only one of the others that wrote most of their own stuff was the Beatles.

Impressive numbers. Writing one tune, or the music, for one of these folks would pretty much make a living for a man the rest of his life.

Hope things are goin' well for ya, Adriano. Haven't been here much for a year or so, good to see a few folks here that are familiar.
Be cool, m'friend.

Later,
Edd

Nana was one of the biggest "International" stars of the 60s. See played on almost all the variety shows of the era. Imagine Celine Dion's voice without the vocal histrionics, add an ever-so-soft Greek accent and you've got Nana.

Take care Edd,
AP

Nana was a sexy goddess. Hot hot hot hot!

Seriously though, she had a great voice and the songs written for her could not have been sung by anyone else and be so popular at that time .

We can 4 part with Karen Carpenter on vocals and drums, 5 part with Phil Lynott (spelling) on bass, 6/7 part with Jimi and Kurt on guitar. Let's get the choir sound bro - RIP to all the greats jamming up there in Neverland.

Yo bro Randy

I'll tell ya', in my opinion, Karen Carpenter goes down as one of the all time best vocalists.

She is one of my favorite singers. Her vocals were simply angelic. I don't think any well known female vocalist today even comes close to her....period!

Don't get me wrong brother Pinto, she is awesome. It is just that band up in heaven needed a drummer as well as a soprano voice for harmony. It is quite rare to find a lead vocalist who is also the drummer in the band. The only two that I can think of is Phil Collins and Don Henley of which the later can sing but neither are Soprano's or even Alto's.

I don't know, I always loved the Tom & Jerry version better! LOL

Every time I see that episode on the old cartoon channels, I laugh SO HARD!

But, yeah, the Andrew Sisters were incredibly talented....

PS: My Father grew up in NY City...As a young boy, he lived right below the Andrew Sisters! He used to listen to them sing every day. hehe
