What's the body and neck material? Is it bolt-on or set neck?

Otherwise, I think as long as you like it, it speaks to you, and makes you want to play, then it's great. I have over 30 guitars, most of them very nice, and yet it's this cheap old Global LP copy that I constantly pick up.

maple top mahogany body,set-in neck,usa made humbers attached directly to the body,has coil splitting switch to get full humbucker tone to a single coil tone. grover tuners,real abalone block inlays,locking bridge. cost 500.00 u sould try it! for the money,u will be suprise.

Does your model have the Rockfield pickups in it? I think BC Rich has been using them for quite some time now. Seems to be a good pickup, and seems like many folks like them.

I've seen the Michael Kelly models around, but, never got to play one. I love the Hex & Vex models....Those models look just like a Peavey Vandenberg model....Which is very cool!

Anyway, rock on! And keep us posted on the guitar, and post some sound clips if you can....Love to see it, and hear it!

i have the michael kelly patriot custom,and it has the rockfield pickups. i have never heard of them ,when i bought the guitar. it is a little better built than my les paul epiphone. i caint alford the gibson. but for the $ u caint beat it. in my opinion. thanks for the reponse.

Gibson = Hype..... Not many folks can afford some Gibson's anyway...so, don't feel bad. WAY OVER-priced.....Then again, many guitars are overpriced. Nice to find a company that makes a decent product for an excellent price.

(Which is why I just bought my new Carvin custom-shop model)

Yeah, Rockfield's are used by BC Rich....They've been using them for a while now. I hear nice things about them, too.

I bought a Michael Kelly Custom Patriot 'lefty' two years ago and it is still my favorite of all my electrics...very full fat sound. Little better built than my epiphone les pauls. Enjoy!

The electrics are a nice guitar for the money. A professional instrument that should hold up to some good use.

We carry them at the music store where I work so I see quite a bit of them.

IMO, their acoustics really stand out. Excellent tone and feel.

I have heard good things on the Michael Kelly mandolins too. I will check out that brand when I get the chance.
