This tune is a really laid back one. Just testing out some more things on my PC and put this together as a result. I call it "The Journey" as it reminds me of being on a road trip...

Hopefully my link will work below. It has been a while.

LOL, thanks Chris. This was more an exercise in problem solving. Still learning how to put all the recording together. I'm working with Sonar 7 these days.

Glad you liked it... :)

Sweet. I have listened to "Time Changes Everything" 4 times now. "Bluetude" is cool. "Inner Light" is soulful. "The Journey" is excellent also. Great playing with a sweet soulful touch.

Thanks, Randy. Soundclick used to have a player widget for just one tune but now all I can find is the player. Anyway, glad you liked them. :) I appreciate the kind words.

Hi Bill, thanks! I went back and eq'd the buss to bring out more bass and highs after hearing some smooth jazz reference tracks. It seemed by comparison my mix was a bit lifeless so I updated the track on soundclick. I think it sounds better now.

Boy oh boy is there a lot to learn. I really have to do this all the time and continue to solve problems to really get my arms around everything. A lot of the samples are from Kontakt which I am tackling as well. Basically I have enough to keep me busy for a very long time...

Very cool, smooth song Jim. I was thinking as it began, "Gee, a harmony over the head would sound really cool.", then you tossed one in towards the end and well....there you go. LOL!

Excellent tonality. Glad to hear you back!

Hey Kevin! Great to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words. I'm just now getting back into recording after not doing anything for about a year and and what they say, use it or lose it sure applies to this area as well.

Glad you enjoyed the tune and I'm glad I did not disappoint leaving out the harmony. ;)

Thanks again,

Jim

Thanks, Jason. A lot of what I have up at soundclick are files that I did with people on this site when the add-a-tracks where the rage. So I keep them there just as a reminder of those days.

Thanks again,

Jim
