What is happening to Wholenote?

Dear friends,

I do not come to Wholenote as I did some years before, but I can observe there is normally a reasonable number of users online, but Fretbuzz has a small number of postings...
What happened in my absence?
Cheers,
Antonio

It needs moderators and redesign. Both things will come automatically if WN is transferred to some big forum host.

I dont think it NEEDS either. What it needs are more active members. I believe this site was created to be self sustaining. I haven't seen to many problems with it. Any problems I've ever seen are things that Administrators would have to deal with.

The forum needs changes to encourage activity.

It is true that changes are necessary but I do not know if that will ever happen. There was a time when others were trying to contact the owners to make changes and update the site. What I read at one time was that it would happen...sigh...

But FWIW, I still enjoy reading the community of people who are still here and continue to contribute as I will too.

There was update talk from the owners for a while there... but like always it just fizzled out.

I'd like to see standard musical notation added. Also, chord charts which are vertical instead of horizontal would be my preference. But I agree--more active members would be nice!

Well, this thread seems to be gettin' some action, so no need in thinkin' the machine is broke.

WN is like drivin an old f'n car...ya gotta put up with it's idiosyncracies (sp), but it still gets ya there.

It's good to know you can still pop in here anytime and see old familar folks... I did not mean old, like old folks Edd..... ;) I still lurk in the shadows. I've laid my guitar down for a good while and I'm just starting to pick it up again. So, as far as for me, I got board with all the guitar sites.

Everyone stopped posting when I left the boards. No worries. I'm back now.
