Is that displaying the way it's meant to? I'm seeing this:

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +
ˆ ˆ ˆ ˆ

"ˆ" ?

I am using the latest version of Firefox.

When I access the lesson through the link above, the circumflexes come out as a large capital "E" with an umlaut above it followed by a large lowercase "t".

However, when I access this lesson directly through the lessons section, the circumflexes look fine (and appear directly under the upbeats "+").

On my browser, your msg contains circumflexes.

What do the circumflexes in your msg look like on your browser?

I get the same thing whether I access through the lessons or not - the big capital "E" with an umlaut and the l/c "t" (which looks more like a cross).

That's also what I see on my post above - I copied and pasted from your link, which might explain (somehow?) why you see circumflexes there.

My browser is IE6.

Now I'm getting the "ET" thingy no matter HOW I approach it.

Why don't you write Christopher Sung and ask him to pretty please flick the "NO CONTROL CHARACTERS" switch off (seeing as you have more clout here than I do).

I go to a great deal of trouble to make sure that my lessons display correctly. And to my knowledge, there is no character in the "standard" set that looks like an "upstroke" better than a circumflex.

To see what the lesson is SUPPOSED to look like visit:

You have no idea how frustrating this is to me.

I went in and made some changes. With any luck this will circumvent WN's ban on control characters.

Let me know how it looks to you.

Thanks!
