Whether 'incentive' is the key or not, there comes a time when you have to digress off the beaten path...

Jesus, just because you may not be technically as good as TE someday is ajust about as dumb a reason to give up music as any I have ever heard.

If everyone thought like that, 99.9% of all musicians in world should just stop making music too.

Snap outt of it and get back to practicing.

You just have to be good neough to play what you hear in your head.

Why do these so-called guitar greats put me to sleep after 30-40 seconds. It sounds like muzak and he's constantly fidgeting with his headphones which is irritating. I prefer Judy Garland's version, it had a story to tell and told it straight out with no pretensions of emotion.

Because you're just that much more musically sophisticated than the rest of us.

I saw Tommy live in Feb '08, he did this song. He is an incredible guitarist, but you know what? He made mistakes; lots of them. Of course, who wouldn't when you play a gazillion notes! Don't get me wrong, he has forgotten more than I will ever know, but guys like him are almost like a freak of nature or something. Seriously, think of the millions of people that play the guitar, yet how many people like Tommy are out there? Maybe 100? It's a small fraction for sure, so keep on keeping on!
