Hey all, I just picked up a PRS CE. I didn't notice this when i bought it but it has locking tuners or more specifically "PRS Winged Locking Tuners".

I'm having difficulty tuning it though so I need some help. I'm not familiar with locking tuners so tell me if i'm doing this wrong. I unscrew the screw, i tune to pitch, then i replace the screw. but then it imediately falls out of tune again. I don't know what I"m doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Check out the link Chris posted. A word of warning though. Once the string is locked in place, DO NOT CONTINUE PUSHING ON THE WING. (All you're doing with that wing is locking the string in place.) This places too much pressure on the point of contact with the string, or something, and the string will snap after a couple of bends or playing with the trem once or twice. Trust me, I know, I found out the hard way. A few times.

Once you get the hang of those locking tuners, they are a pleasure in terms of quick string changes though. Good luck.

Peace
Out.
